Eve is a military spouse of over 20 years. She also has 10+ years’ experience working with a variety of people in different settings from disadvantaged adults with mental health disorders in rural Missouri to military families in southern Germany.

Eve loves connecting with people both old and young. Her systemic, holistic, integrated counseling approach aims to help people recognize their inherent strengths as well as their support resources so they can better overcome life’s challenges.

“I’m absolutely in love with nature and find that it helps me find peace in the day. I enjoy taking long walks outside, swimming, or just sitting quietly under a tree. I also love hanging out with my little family to include our sweet dog, Bailey, and our two adorable green cheek parrots, AJ & Chili. I also find great joy in learning new things, especially all things mental health.

For me, mental health is all about creating a healthy tension between self-care, doing what we love, and being able to share our unique gifts and talents with others. Authenticity, empathy, and sincere listening help bring these most precious things to life; relational attitudes that I’m deeply committed to no matter who I meet or where I am.”

“There is a crack in everything. That’s how the light gets in.” —Lenard Cohen

“All real living is meeting.” —Martin Buber

Kimberly Pace

ACMHC

Kimberly completed her bachelor’s degree at Brigham Young University Idaho. She then completed two masters degrees, the first in Psychology with School Counseling at Utah State University, and the second in Clinical Mental Health Counseling through Rocky Mountain University of Heath Professions. As a mother of five children she has spent countless hours serving and volunteering in various capacities in the schools and community over the past 25 years. Kimberly is very passionate about spending time with and creating connection with others. Through all her connections she found that she enjoyed helping others find their purpose and find the path to living their best life.

Kimberly started out as a Biology major at BYU. She loves science and understanding how the human body works, especially the brain. She worked in genetics and environmental science at Los Alamos National Laboratory. After receiving her first master’s degree she worked as a school counselor. As a school counselor Kimberly taught social emotional lessons and career and collage counseling to all students. During this time she worked with many children and adolescents struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, neurodivergence, and grief. This sparked her desire to do more for the youth and become certified as a Clinical Mental Health Counselor. She has worked in a day treatment center for youth and at a nonprofit counseling center working with all ages and populations. She has also worked in prevention and family education. Kimberly enjoys working with all populations and has never found a person she did not love working with.

Kimberly specializes in working with youth and adolescents (5+) and adults experiencing struggles with depression, anxiety, suicidal ideation, self-harm, life changes/adjustments, ADHD, spiritual issues, relationships issues, trauma, LGBTQ+ issues, parenting, self-worth, emotional regulation, impulse control, anger management, and interpersonal conflicts. Kimberly uses various treatment modalities including CBT, ACT, DBT, mindfulness, and Solution-Focused Therapy. She is also training in EMDR and Neurofeedback.

“I find it important to find your own personal balance. As a wife, mother, coach, and therapist, I find myself being pulled in many different directions. Making time for self-care and doing the things I love is important.

I love spending time outside, watching movies, attending my children’s events, eating good food, and laughing with friends. I also love coaching soccer.”

Timothy S. Childs

AMFT

Timothy S. Childs is a Marriage and Family Therapist with a solid educational background. He earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from California State University, Fresno, and then pursued a Master’s program in counseling with a focus on marriage and family child counseling. His education continued at Syracuse University, where he’s in the final stages of a Doctoral program in Marriage and Family Therapy.

His decision to become a therapist was influenced by his recognition of the importance of mental health and his aptitude for assisting others facing personal challenges. Encouragement from friends and family led him to explore therapy as a career path. Timothy’s transition from an interest in psychology to his role as a therapist was driven by his desire to help individuals and families navigate difficulties.

Timothy’s expertise as a Marriage and Family Therapist allows him to guide couples and families through difficult emotional challenges, helping them rebuild their lives and look forward to the future. His dedication to mental well-being is reflected in his academic achievements and his commitment to fostering healing and transformation.

Timothy has a diverse range of work experiences that have shaped his perspective as a Marriage and Family Therapist. He started at Spirit of Woman, a drug rehabilitation program to reunite mothers with their children. He aided them in their recovery journey while Spirit of Woman provided housing and became a significant asset to the community.

Another pivotal role was at Quality Family Services in Fresno, where Timothy guided at-risk teenagers with behavioral challenges, through stress and life issues. He supported their educational pursuits and played a role in guiding them through the difficulties that they faced in finishing high school.

Timothy’s experience extended to the Couple and Family Therapy Center in Syracuse, where he concentrated on couples. His focus encompassed various aspects of relationships, from premarital counseling to addressing marital struggles and infidelity.

While trained to work with families, Timothy enjoys working with individuals, providing one-on-one support. However, his specialization lies in helping couples overcome challenges and maintain healthy relationships. He finds satisfaction helping a range of populations, including individuals, families, and couples.

Timothy has a specialized focus on technology’s impact on family systems. His expertise uniquely equips him to assist individuals, couples, and families grappling with challenges stemming from technology. Timothy’s specialization not only includes a comprehensive understanding of technology’s role as a mediator in interpersonal relationships but also a deep grasp of the nuanced aspects of technology itself. He delves into concerns such as screen time management, video game compulsion, and social media preoccupation.

Timothy’s training extends to a variety of therapeutic modalities within the realm of marriage and family therapy, with a strong emphasis on couples. Furthermore, he brings a wealth of experience and expertise in addressing matters related to pornography and sexual addiction.

In maintaining my own positive mental health, I prioritize spending quality time with my wife and children. Applying the therapeutic techniques I’ve learned, I strike a balance between connecting with friends, family, and church community. It is important to recognize that therapists, like anyone, are human. We need to tend to our own mental well-being, ensuring we’re in the right place to assist clients effectively.

Like most therapists, I am often reading books in my free time. While I was once a Master League Starcraft player in college, these days I find myself immersed in the world of Pokémon, a choice influenced by my kids’ fascination of colorful characters. My wife and I enjoy taking the opportunity to explore National Parks and go on other family adventures. We had the pleasure of visiting the sacred grove many times during our time in New York.

Honesty with myself and others, hard work and play are foundational in my life. Research shows that connection and healthy relationships are vital to wellbeing. This understanding allows me to approach my life open to being brave and staying awkward. Learning emotional honesty has transformed my own relationships. The process of understanding my values, beliefs and needs is one I embrace with curiosity. I believe nourishing food, movement and attending to my spirituality are important elements of my overall wellness. Seeking opportunities to learn and express creativity bring me a great deal of satisfaction and joy.

I enjoy being outdoors including, hiking, snowboarding, biking and gardening. I love refinishing furniture and starting DIY projects for my husband to finish. I take any chance I can to share a good laugh, impromptu dance party and fun with my family. Service brings me gratitude. If you give me a bag of jellybeans I only want the black ones and I have never met a philly cheesesteak sandwich I didn’t like.

Music is another passion of mine; I play the viola and appreciate how music can be both grounding and expressive. Most of all, I love spending time with my husband and friends, sharing laughter, good conversations, and new experiences. Whether it’s exploring the outdoors or simply enjoying time with loved ones, I find fulfillment in the connections I build and the moments I create.

I firmly believe that every person has the ability to achieve a meaningful, and joy filled life. My role as a therapist is to walk alongside my clients, honoring their unique experiences and helping them recognize their own strengths. I see therapy as a collaborative process – clients are the experts in their own lives, and I strive to create a space where they feel empowered to explore, grow, and move toward the life they want.

Using a strengths-based and solution-focused approach, I tailor therapy to each individual’s needs, helping them uncover their own resilience and ability to create change. Karrie Perry

CSW-I

Karrie Perry earned her bachelor’s degree in Social Work and Psychology from Utah State University while raising four children. She understands the demands of day-to-day life and the stressors of such commitments. She is now in her last year of her master’s program with Boise State University. Her passion for the field of mental health comes from a lifetime of experience trying to understand the influences it has in her own life.

Karrie has had the privilege of working with an array of individuals. She has worked with persons experiencing physical and developmental disabilities. In working with these populations, she assisted them in finding a sense of independence in daily living. In addition, she assisted the impoverished by helping them focus on their capabilities and strengths. She has also worked with youth ages 16 to 25 in an academic setting. These young people were placed in a variety of challenges that blocked them from achieving a high school diploma. She supported this rising generation as they broke through their own personal barriers to achieve their dreams of education and employment; this enhanced their futures in indescribable ways. In each and every one of these situations, her main desire has been to empower those she worked with by exploring and discovering the tools they needed to be successful and happy in their lives.

Karrie is experienced in guiding those dealing with mental health disorders, ADHD, autism, depression, anxiety, suicide ideation, self-harm, LGBTQ+ issues, body image concerns, relationship issues with others and self, trauma, emotional regulation, and addiction.

In finding positive mental health, I encourage myself to stop and make sure that I am focusing on the things that I can change and recognizing those I cannot. I also look at the components of the situations as they pertain to me. I do this by asking a couple questions: First, if it involves other people (which it often does), I simply ask myself what is the other person’s “why”? Why are they acting/behaving in this manner? Secondly, I ask myself what is the end result I want in this situation? I believe self-regulating in this way keeps me mentally well.

Above all else, I enjoy spending time with my family. When my children were little we would go on “Perry Adventures.” Traveling and experiencing other parts of our world is exhilarating to me. My favorite place to be is the beach, any beach, anywhere! I also enjoy being creative. This includes: baking, photography, sewing, crafting, woodworking, painting, and many other arts. A fun fact about me is that, when I was young, I went to school to become a certified auctioneer.

I also enjoy traveling, gardening, DIY projects and love a good concert.
